We are an LGBTQ+ well-being hub established in 2023 to support the LGBTQ+ community to live happy, healthy and authentic lives.
Our vision is to provide a space for LGBTQ+ folk to thrive in body, mind and spirit.
We believe a healthy body and mind requires a healthy community to live in and our offerings tend to both the individual and the collective.
Our focus is on providing Gender Affirming Voice and Communication training to transgender, non-binary and gender diverse folk. We offer services online and in-person in Tandanya / Adelaide, South Australia.

Meet the Team
CERTIFIED PRACTISING SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
Kate Walker (she/they)
Kate is a queer, non‑binary and neurodivergent Certified Practising Speech Pathologist who founded Affirm and Thrive in 2023 to create an inclusive space where LGBTQ+ folk can feel supported, understood and celebrated. Kate is passionate about helping people feel at home in their voice and believes that thriving happens when care is affirming, collaborative and grounded in community.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Science (Human Communication Science) and has founded Gender Affirming Voice Clinics in both Darwin and Adelaide. Alongside their clinical work, Kate teaches into the Voice and Swallow courses at Adelaide University. Kate is multi-passionate human, drawing on their background in Speech Pathology, Musical Theatre, Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine and Sound Therapy to support clients in diverse and creative ways.
Outside the clinic, Kate loves hiking, theatre (especially musicals), live music and spending time with friends, family and their cheeky dachshund, Angus.

Jenna Matulick (she/her)
Jenna is an experienced and passionate Speech Pathologist. Jenna has a strong history in voice education, singing instruction, and client-centered care through her experience as a Singing Teacher, Music Director, and a Voice Specialist. As a proud member of the trans and gender diverse community, and as a neurodivergent person, Jenna cares deeply about supporting people to live and express as themselves, and helping them to build confidence. Jenna has a Master in Speech Pathology, Bachelors in Music Education (Education & Pedagogy), and has done specialist training in Gender Affirming Voice Care. In her free time, Jenna loves writing music, playing video games, and getting involved in local theater - especially musicals!
